Little Rock police investigating early morning homicide on South Main Street

LRPD investigating South Main St. homicide

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Little Rock police are investigating the city's 41st homicide of the year.

Around 3 a.m. Sunday, Little Rock police responded to a shooting in the 3100 block of South Main Street.

Police said 48-year-old Vincent James told them two people tried to rob him while he was going into his house. During the robbery, one of the people shot him in both legs.

James went to a neighbor's house to call 911. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.

The suspects are two men, but no other information about them has been released.
