'Serve the Rock' highlighting non profits

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Little Rock Chamber of Commerce is hosting an event that will highlight the area's 50 plus non-profits on Thursday.

Graham Cobb from the Little Rock Chamber of Commerce stopped by "THV 11 This Morning" to share details.

As part of its mission to retain talent for Little Rock and the region, Create Little Rock, along with The Ambassadors, launched Serve the Rock, a community involvement showcase.

In a Taste of The Rock/Business After Hours atmosphere, featuring food and beverages from some of the region's finest restaurants, caterers and beverage distributors, Serve The Rock showcases the Chamber's nonprofit members, giving members and guests a one-stop opportunity to choose where they may best serve their community.

Advance tickets are $5 for Chamber member representatives and guests. Guests will be admitted at the door for $10, space permitting.

Create Little Rock initiated Serve the Rock as a talent retention tool, recognizing that building relationships through service to the community increases the likelihood a person will stay and thrive in the region.
