LR board considers residency programs for city workers

LR board to vote on residency incentives

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Tuesday is a big day for the Little Rock City Board, as it is expected to vote on a residency incentive program.

The program would offer incentives to city workers who move to live inside Little Rock city limits.

New hires could get a $5,000 payment toward buying a home, and $2,500 towards those renting.

There is also another proposal to require police officers to live in the city.

A similar measure failed last year.
