LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - On Monday, October 31, thousands of children will dress up as their favorite superhero, princess, or character and flood the streets of towns across Arkansas. Both the North Little Rock and Little Rock police are getting ahead of the holiday and posted a couple of safety tips for the spooky night.
Both posts stress the importance of checking all candy the children may receive. If a parent is unsure of the product or its wrapping, you are advised to throw it away.
The LRPD safety guide also tells parents and kids alike to not approach houses that do not have outside lights on. Some families do not celebrate Halloween or might be out on the town collecting families for themselves.
Whether your trick-or-treating Sunday night or Monday, the safest route to take is always the cautious one. Keep your children, their friends, and the streets safe. Have a happy, but spooky Halloween!
