Malvern man arrested for Hot Springs murder

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (KTHV) – A Malvern man has been arrested for a murder that happened last month.

On July 16 around 1:15 a.m., officers with the Hot Springs Police Department responded to multiple 911 calls reporting shots fired outside of Boot Scooters at 421 Broadway. Upon arrival, officers found 37-year-old Timothy Martin deceased inside a vehicle.

On Tuesday, 30-year-old Kirkland Litzsey was arrested for Martin’s murder in Little Rock by U.S. Marshalls and U.S. Probation and Parole. 

Litzsey was booked into the Garland County Detention Center for first degree murder without bond.

This is an ongoing investigation and additional arrests may be made in the future.
