Man escapes from McGehee Criminal Justice Facility

MCGEHEE, Ark. (KTHV) - McGehee police are searching for a man who escaped from the McGehee Criminal Justice Facility at 9:29 am on Saturday morning.

Jeremy Barnett, 40, was awaiting bed space at the Arkansas Department of Corrections after being arrested for violating parole. Police do not believe Barnett to be armed but consider him dangerous.

He is 5'9" and weighs 160 pounds. He has hazel eyes with brown hair.

ADC have a tracking unit on scene and recovered Barnett's jail clothes.
