Two suspects steal two cars, both arrested after standoff with police

ALEXANDER, Ark. (KTHV) - Grant County Sheriff's Department responded on Sunday morning to a report about a stolen car. Once the stolen car was spotted, police engaged the two suspects in a car chase.

The vehicle then crashed causing the two individuals to flee on foot in Ico community. The sheriff's office, Arkansas State Police, and the Arkansas Department of Corrections worked together to find the two suspects. They found one suspect, but the second was able to steal a second car, fleeing the scene.

Police questioned the arrested suspect to determine where the second suspect may be heading. During the questioning they identified the second suspect as Brendan Wax Wilson.

Saline County Sheriff's Office then joined the search for Wilson. The police then went to his residence in Alexander where they found both Wilson and the stolen vehicle. Wilson was arrested after a standoff and taken to the Saline County Jail.

Police will not release anymore information at this time, but are investigating the incident.
