LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Off the heels of the Miss Arkansas Pageant moving to Little Rock the Miss Greater Little Rock and Miss Metro Pageant has been announced for Saturday September 17, 2016.
The pageant, which will crown four separate titles, is a qualifying pageant for the Miss Arkansas crown. The pageant will crown a Miss Greater and Miss Metro as well give out two Outstanding Teen crowns. The competitors will have four different categories to have a chance to win. They will compete in talent, interview, lifestyle and fitness and an evening gown phase.
Co-executive director Danielle Fusco said, "Our capital city is a fabulous location and we hope this development will increase interest in our town qualifying competition."
Former Miss Greater Little Rock's Outstanding Teen Emily Brewer recently competed in Miss America's Outstanding Teen 2016 taking away the Action Award for her work on her platform "Winning Against Diabetes".
In order to compete in the event competitors must reside or be enrolled in classes at an accredited college. They can also qualify by being in employed full-time in one of the following counties; Faulkner, Grant, Lonoke, Perry, Pulaski or Saline.
