Trumann police say missing 16-year-old wasn't woman seen in surveillance video

A $3,500 reward is being offered for Arissa Farmer's safe return.

UPDATE (01/31/18) - The Trumann Police Department has confirmed the woman seen in the surveillance video at the Welcome Center in Blytheville was not missing 16-year-old Arissa Farmer.

"The lady on the video was not the missing teen. The actual lady on the camera contacted the Trumann Police Department and advised that it was her and that was her car," said Assistant Chief Jonathan Redman.

Trumann police also confirmed that more evidence collected from different locations and communication devices suggests to investigators that Arissa was in contact with multiple males on several social media platforms who appeared to be grooming her for sexual acts. The FBI, Arkansas State Police, Jonesboro Police Department and Poinsett County Sheriff's Office is assisting Trumann police in this case.

UPDATE (01/30/18) - The Trumann Police Department there has been a possible sighting of 16-year-old Arissa Farmer on Sunday morning around 7:15 at the Welcome Center on I-55 in Blytheville. Farmer was seen leaving in a silver Dodge Stratus driven by an African American man heading southbound.

A reward for information leading to Arissa's safe return has reached $3,500, according to a Facebook post in the group called "Missing Girl-Arissa Farmer."

A prayer vigil for Arissa's safe return has been set for Wednesday, January 31 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at NEA Baptist Church in Trumann.

ORIGINAL (01/29/18) – The Trumann Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing/runaway juvenile.

Arissa Farmer,16, was last seen in Trumann around 11 p.m. on Saturday, January 27.

According to Assistant Chief Jonathan Redman, investigators found information on Farmer's computer that a person was possibly grooming Farmer for sexual acts. That person is unknown at this time.

Arissa is around 5-foot-2, 175 pounds, with brown eyes and auburn hair. She has a mole on her chin and the left side of her hairline.
