Moped driver killed in Conway County after collision

PLUMERVILLE, Ark. (AP) -- Authorities say a 56-year-old Morrilton man was killed when he was struck from behind while driving his moped.
Arkansas State Police say Leonard Murray died in the incident early Monday on U.S. 64 near Plumerville in Conway County. According to a preliminary report, Murray was driving his moped westbound when an SUV crashed into him, causing Murray to lose control of his vehicle and drive off the road.
State police say the driver of the SUV fled but was arrested a short time later. That driver's name has not yet been released.
