LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – The Arkansas' Stop the Violence movement made a bold statement in Little Rock Wednesday.
A motorcade of hearses rolled through the city with several police officers in tow in order to raise awareness of the result of violence in Little Rock. With more than two dozen murders already this year, Stop the Violence is doing everything they can to make a difference.
"The crime and the murders in our streets must stop, and we will not stand for it any longer," exclaimed Avery Page, a member of the organization.
The motorcade left from Zion Cathedral Church and proceeded to Elmlawn Cemetery, both on West 12th Street. Stop the Violence leaders said their main message is to have the community use communication before pulling the trigger.
