NLR Fire Department accepting blanket donations

Captain Mike Holley with the North Little Rock Fire Department joined THV11 This Morning to tell us how they are trying to help some of the homeless in central Arkansas by handing out blankets

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – Imagine being out in the cold all day long with no place to go. That’s the reality for some in central Arkansas.

But there's a way you can help.

The North Little Rock Fire Department Explorer Post is looking for help with keeping those who need it warm by collecting blankets to keep on hand to give out in various situations, including homelessness.

If you would like to donate a blanket (at least twin size), you can drop it off at Fire Station 9 at 2309 Osage in North Little Rock any time during the day.
