NLRPD identifies Sunday morning's homicide victim

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – North Little Rock Police have found the identity of a homicide victim thanks to the help of the public.

According to Sgt. Brian Dedrick Michael Cook, 28, was found in the road at the intersection of Campbell Road and Whippoorwill Lane around 1 a.m. suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Cook was reportedly taken to a local hospital and died a short time later.

"This person didn't have any ID on him, and trying to fingerprint the victim, we didn't get any hits back through our database on that," explained Dedrick.

Police currently do not have a motive for the shooting.
