Howard Street shooting leaves one dead, two injured

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Little Rock police are investigating a homicide at the 2100 block of Howard Street.

Around 4:45 Sunday morning, LRPD responded to a call about a shooting on Howard Street. When they arrived, they found a man with gunshot injuries. He told police that there were other victims in the house. He was then taken to a nearby hospital. His injuries are life threatening.

Inside the house, police found a 12-year-old boy who had been struck with a pistol. He was taken to a hospital to treat his non life threatening injuries.

Police also found the body of 50-year-old Danny Lewis. He had been shot multiple times.

According to police, two black men, who had their faces covered, forced their way into the house at gunpoint and started demanded items. After striking the 12-year-old, shooting the other victim, and killing Lewis, they ran away.
