LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - It's been a whirlwind year for developers and retailers out at the Outlets at Little Rock. This weekend, the mall marked it's first full year in business. Naturally, they threw a birthday party which included a classic Mustang car show.
The area around the Outlets has undergone a rapid transformation. Two years ago it was Bass Pro Shops then came the Outlets and then Dave and Busters. Other businesses have also been moving into the area giving a new sense of identity to the community just outside of Little Rock.
Operators hope to keep the strong momentum going heading into the holiday shopping season.
"We've had quite a few stores open this past year," said Teresa Hendrix, the general manager at the Outlets. "We just announced that Les Cruce is coming. They're supposed to open the weekend before Black Friday. So, we still have stores opening as well."
In addition to Sunday's car show, the Outlets held a "Kids Day" and a community part happened on Saturday.
