New safety app allows caregivers to enter child's info if ever reported missing

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children released an app this week in an effort to provide more tools to help keep kids safe.

“Safety Central,” endorsed by the Morgan Nick Foundation, available on iPhone and Android, is a digital ID Kit.  One of the most important resources for law enforcement when they’re searching for a missing child is an up-to-date photo and description.

In the case that a child is missing, law enforcement can access the information, which is never shared publicly.

Also in “Safety Central,” parents can download tips and resources from NCMEC and stay up-to-date on news, as well as help law enforcement find missing children.

Click here to download the app for iPhone.

And here for Android.
