LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Good news for students who have been displaced from the over-crowded housing issue at Philander Smith College.
Four of the six modular homes arrived and crews have been working during the weekend to get them ready. The homes will go into the open lot off Chester Street, a couple blocks from Philander Smith.
A spike in this year's enrollment forced the school to house some students at La Quinta Inn while they came up with a solution. School officials hope to move students into "Panther Village" by the first week of November.
