Pine Bluff man arrested for robbery and kidnapping

PINE BLUFF, Ark. (KTHV) -- A Pine Bluff woman was robbed and carjacked with her six-year-old son inside on Tuesday morning.

The woman was dropping her daughter off at daycare when 42-year-old Marvin Reeves asked her for a ride. Before the woman could deny the request, Reeves then reportedly jerked her from the car and drove away with the boy still in his seat. The woman grabbed on to the car to try and stop it, and Reeves hit and dragged her with the vehicle. She sustained minor injuries to her arm.

Reeves then left the car at the Broadmoor Arms Apartments on South Wisconsin Street. An apartment resident called police, and the boy was safely removed from the car. Police found Reeves in the same area.

Reeves was taken into custody and booked into the county jail on robbery, kidnapping and second degree battery charges.
