Pine Bluff man charged with capital murder after allegedly beating sister's boyfriend

PINE BLUFF, Ark. (KTHV) - The Pine Bluff Police Department have arrested a man after he allegedly beat a man to death.

According to police, Allen Claggett's sister said he battered both her and her boyfriend, Henry Johnson on Friday, June 2. His sister claimed that Claggett accused Johnson of beating her, but she denied that her boyfriend would do that. Claggett then attacked Johnson, hitting him several times in the face before stomping on him.

That same day, Claggett's sister said Johnson began to vomit. When emergency personnel responded, Johnson was unconscious and having a seizure.

He was then transported to a Little Rock due to the severity of his injuries. Johnson sadly passed away on June 13 due to the injuries sustained from the beating.

Pine Bluff police arrested Claggett and have charged him with capital murder and 2nd degree domestic battering.
