DEA announces drugs missing at Pine Bluff Animal Control

PINE BLUFF, Ark. (KTHV) - Agents with the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Pine Bluff Police Department are investigating the Pine Bluff Animal Control after it was determined drugs were missing from their inventory.

From April to December 2016, the DEA conducted an audit on the animal control facility. The agency found a "substantial amount" of Ketamine and one other drug missing from the facility's drug supply.

Both the narcotics division and the DEA are conducting their own investigations on the missing drugs.

A press release from the Pine Bluff Police Department said the investigation is in the early stages.
