Pine Bluff police find human remains in woods, identity & cause of death unknown

PINE BLUFF, Ark. (KTHV) – The Pine Bluff Police Department found possible human remains in a wooded area.

Police were contacted shortly after 3 p.m. on Wednesday to a wooded piece of property in the 2200 block of West 30th Avenue about the skeletal remains.

The clothing and remains were collected and sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for identification. Due to the condition of the remains, the department doesn’t have any information on a possible identity including race or gender.

While a cause of death hasn’t been determined yet, the police department is investigating the death as a homicide until determined otherwise.
