Pine Bluff man shot, killed in early morning shooting

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- The Pine Bluff Police Department is investigating an early morning shooting that left one man dead.

Officers responded to a shooting at a home on South Richard Street at about 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday and found the victim, who was later identified as 22-year-old Deunta Blakemore of Pine Bluff in the passenger seat of a car.

He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead of an apparent gunshot wound.

The investigation is considered ongoing and no suspect information has been released. This is Pine Bluff’s first homicide in the city in 2018, and the first since November 30, 2017.
