Police arrest man for murder of Conway father shot in his car

CONWAY, Ark. (KTHV) -- Following a thorough investigation, detectives with the Conway Police Department have arrested a suspect in the September 9 shooting death of Robert Lee Givens.

CPD Police Chief, Jody Spradlin credits the teamwork of the entire department for Thomas’ arrest.

“When dealing with a case of this magnitude, teamwork is essential,” he said.  “Our department is fortunate that everyone from patrol officers who are the first on scene, to the detectives who investigate further, understand the importance of working toward the end goal, which is always to help bring justice to victims.”

Thomas remains at the Faulkner County Detention Center where he was originally arrested September 14 for an unrelated incident and charged with first degree false imprisonment and third degree domestic battering.
