Police find meth, semiautomatic rifle during home visit of parolee

A 38-year-old parolee was arrested in Gamaliel, just outside of Mountain Home. Brandon Joe Vazquez's residence contained approximately 2 grams of methamphetamine and an SKS, a type of semiautomatic rifle. As a parolee, Vazque is prohibited from possessing firearms.

The charges levied against him are felony possession of methamphetamine with purpose of delivery; two felony counts of possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of firearm by certain persons, convicted felon; felony simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms and felony parole violation.

Vazquez is being held without bond for the parole violation, but has a bond of $25,000 on the new charges  He is scheduled to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court to answer the charges on Oct. 19. He has been booked into the Baxter County Detention Center seven times since 2010.

Tiffanie Cortez-Lynn, 32, was also at the residence when Investigators arrived.  She was arrested for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for non-payment of fines and a civil body attachment for not paying child support. She is in Baxter County Jail as well.
