Police identify bodies found in Pope Co. junkyard, investigating as homicide

POPE COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) -- The Arkansas State Crime Lab has identified the two bodies found at a Pope County salvage yard as Aaron Brock, 22, and Beau DeWitt, 22, both from Yell County.

The deaths are being investigated as a homicide, after the bodies were crushed found inside a demolished car at the salvage yard.

The two had been reported missing from Dardenelle last Friday, and their last known location was the U-Pull-It Auto Salvage Yard just outside Russellville city limits.

Dardenelle Police Chief Montie Sims said they searched the business earlier this week and did not find any clues related to their disappearances.

The Arkansas State Police, Russellville Police Department, Dardanelle Police Department, Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms Bureau are all assisting the Pope County Sheriff's Office in the investigation.

Both DeWitt and Brock have pled guilty to multiple counts of theft of property, dating back to 2011.
