Victim identified in overnight Little Rock shooting

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) –Little Rock police have released the name of the victim who died in an overnight homicide.

Around 11 p.m. on Sunday, officers responded to the shopping center at 6420 Colonel Glenn Road after receiving several calls about a large crowd of people and vehicles loitering in the parking lot.

Upon arrival, officers were advised of a shooting that had just occurred there. Officers were also advised that a shooting victim, later identified as 19-year-old Brent Cartwright of Little Rock, had been dropped off at a local hospital. Cartwright reportedly died from his injuries a short time later.

Detectives discovered several bullet strikes to windows at Kroger and the surrounding businesses.

At this time, police say there is no suspect information and the investigation is ongoing. If you have any information about the shooting, you are asked to contact police.
