Conway police looking for 2 women who allegedly cashed forged checks

CONWAY, Ark. (KTHV) - The Conway Police Department are asking for the public's help in locating two women they believe have allegedly cashed forged checks across central Arkansas.

The department posted several photos on its Facebook page of the two women and explained the crime they allegedly committed.

Police say the two women gained access to several checking accounts from multiple people. The victims of the crime live in several cities including Conway, Cabot, Searcy, Little Rock, and Hot Springs.

"They then forged checks on a closed account and deposited them into the victims' accounts," the police alleged. "Once this was done, they receive cash back on the deposit leaving the victims at a loss when the checks are returned."

The women were allegedly driving an older model green Dodge Durango.

If you have any information on these two women, you are asked to contact Detective Fulbright at (501) 450-6130 or text anonymously to CRIMES (274-637) using the keyword Conway along with your tip.
