LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- This weekend the largest cycling tour in Central Arkansas will connect bikers from around the world.
The Big Dam Bridge 100 is centered around one of the Arkansas' most popular attractions, the longest bridge built for pedestrian and bicycle traffic in North America.
Parks and Recreation Director Terry Hartwick is excited for this year's event and said the biking community is growing more and more every year
“You used to sit there and talk about making bike trail. Now, bikers [are] going past us, just one after another," said Hartwick.
With an average of about 3000 cyclists expected to turn out, Big Dam Brige 100 will celebrate its 11th year this Saturday.
If you're driving around town this weekend, be sure to check for road closures and route changes.
