Reminder: No fireworks allowed in national forests

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - One specific place you can not have any fireworks are the national forests here in the state.

Officials with the National Forestry Service remind everyone that fireworks, firecrackers and other pyrotechnic devices are illegal.

If you are camping in places like the Ouachita or Ozark-Saint Francis Forests, you can find fireworks shows in nearby communities.

Shooting fireworks in the forest can get you a $5,000 fine or even jail.
