LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - The Coca-Cola Company will join the City of Little Rock Parks and Recreation and the National Recreation and Parks Association for a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, September 10. The ribbon cutting is to celebrated the new expansion to the skate park at Kanis Park.
The event will also introduce a skateboarding clinic for the community. It is a free event and open to the public. The event takes place from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
The new expansion was provided to Kanis Park after a grant was given by Coca-Cola and the National Recreation and Parks Association. The grant money was used to build benches, a pavilion and expanding the skate park for skaters to enjoy.
Attending the event will be representatives from the National Recreation and Parks Association and the Coca-Cola Company as well as city officials. Skateboarders will also be in attendance to test out the new editions to the park.
