SALINE COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) -- Mission home. That's THV11’s effort to make sure missing children get back home, safe and sound.
So THV11 is glad to tell you about an effort in Saline County to help parents, and police, act fast when the unthinkable happens. It's called Kid Print ID. It’s a program by law enforcement to get every child in the county an identification card. The idea is to help get information out quickly, if a child gets lost.
The card has photos, fingerprints, and information to help identify the child. That information would be kept on file at the sheriff's office and the Bryant and Benton Police Departments.
Wednesday, Bryant School Resource Officers and deputies with Saline County Sheriff's Office went to Hurricane Creek elementary to create the IDs. The cards are being given to the parents. Officers will also be set up next Tuesday at Walmart for our National Night Out starting at 6:30 p.m.
Their goal is to eventually get to every kid in the county.
