Salvation Army announces new programs

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - The Salvation Army announced new programs to help women and families in need. They are opening three new programs; a new woman and family shelter, new transitional housing apartments and a family store which will open in late October.

Salvation Army also announced on Thursday a new national incentive 'Pathway of Hope'. The incentive is designed to help families break the generational cycle of poverty. The program will combat poverty by identifying the causes and develop ways for families to rise above the poverty line.

The Family Store will give women or families in the 'Pathway of Hope' vouchers for clothing needs, furniture items and provide other affording clothing both business and casual.
