Searcy hotel robbed at knifepoint

SEARCY, Ark. (KTHV) – A hotel in Searcy was robbed Thursday night.

Searcy police said at 9 p.m. April 4 they were called to the America's Best Value Inn at 107 Rand Drive about an armed robbery.

Officers were told that a black male entered into the lobby area prior to entering the area behind the clerk's desk while holding a knife.

Officers were told that the suspect demanded money from the clerk, and once the clerk opened the cash drawer, the suspect forced the clerk into a bathroom where she was told to stay until the suspect left the hotel.

The suspect is described as being between 5'7" to 5'9" tall, about 160 to 180 pounds, and could be in his early to mid-20s with a bald head.

The suspect was last seen wearing a purple or blue hoodie with light colored symbols all over it, and a white bandana covering his face.
