Searcy police looking for suspect in two Valero station armed robberies

SEARCY, Ark. (KTHV) – The Searcy Police Department needs the public’s help identifying the suspect believed to be responsible for two armed robberies over the weekend.

The first one happened on Friday, January 19 at approximately 10 p.m. Searcy police officers responded to an armed robbery at the Valero station located at 316 S. Benton Street.

An employee told officers that he was approached by an individual who entered the store, took out a handgun and demanded money from the cash register. After taking the money, the suspect reportedly took off on foot.

The suspect is described as a young male, approximately six feet tall, with a stocky build. The suspect was wearing black sweatpants and a black hooded sweatshirt.

There was another robbery Sunday, January 21 at 10:49 p.m. at a Valero on N. Maple. Police said it appears to be the same suspect.
