'Sleep Out in the Rock' to raise funds, awareness for homeless

'Sleep Out in the Rock' set for November 4

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - On November 4, Depaul USA is inviting people to "Sleep Out in the Rock" to help raise awareness on homelessness in central Arkansas.

The fundraiser for Jericho Way, a resource center for men and women, is a sleep-out which is meant to shine a light on the daily struggle homeless people face. It's designed not as a proper experience but a way to support the homeless through a shared experience.

The event offers hot meals and showers as well as assistance finding a job for those looking to better their lives. City Manager Bruce Moore will be participating in the event. All funds raised will stay in Little Rock to help fight homelessness.

The sleep-out will take place on November 4 at Murray Park from dusk until dawn.
