State considers hog farm ban near Buffalo

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- A controversial farm near the Buffalo River has state environmental officials considering a ban.

Some Arkansans have been concerned waste from C&H Hog Farm could be flowing into the river.

So the Pollution Control and Ecology commission is considering banning future medium and large hog farms near the watershed.

Public comments are being taken at the ADEQ headquarters at 5301 Northshore Drive from 2 until 3 this afternoon in North Little Rock.

The ban only affects future medium and large confined swine farms along the Buffalo.
