A Diamondhead couple accused Officer Fred Ensminger of threatening to drown and possibly shoot six swimmers, including their son, who is a minor.
Property Association Board President Ray Massey says Ensminger went to check out a report of the swimmers misbehaving and says the officer did say some inappropriate things.
He says Ensminger received a verbal reprimand and warning.
Massey says the board doesn't get involved in police affairs and won't comment on the shooting until the final report comes in.
Jerry Chambliss admits shooting Ensminger in the shoulder last Wednesday night, but has not been charged.
Police say Ensminger followed Chambliss' wife home while off duty -- allegedly for a traffic stop.
She called her husband -- who called 911 and met the two in the driveway where they exchanged shots.
