In closing arguments Wednesday, prosecutor Karen Whatley said Dr. Randeep Mann wanted Dr. Trent Pierce dead and it's only by "the grace of God" that Pierce survived the attack.
Whatley emphasized testimony from a weapons dealer who said he sold Mann the type of hand grenades used in the attack. Prosecutors claim Mann planned the bombing after the board revoked his right to prescribe narcotics.
The defense planned to present closing arguments late Wednesday. They're expected to point out that no forensic evidence links Mann to the bombing.
The jury will likely begin deliberating Thursday morning.
Tuesday, the defense rested.
