The Institute of Medicine is calling for nurses, to be given a larger role in the health care system.

The group wants the government to remove barriers, so nurses with a master's degree can order tests and perform some of the care that only doctors are allowed to do right now.

Thirty-two-million Americans will be getting health insurance coverage in 2014, though the new health care reform legislation.

And experts say the country is going to need many more health workers to care for them.
