CLARKSVILLE, Ark. (KTHV) -- The defense in Gary Dunn's murder trial called its last witness this afternoon and it doesn't appear Dunn will take the stand in his own defense.
But the victim Nona Dirksmeyer's stepfather, Dwayne Dipert, and her uncle did.
The defense questioned them about Dirksmeyer's boyfriend, Kevin Jones and his behavior after the murder.
They testified when they went to get Dirksmeyer's funeral clothing, Jones was at her apartment digging around. They say he told them he was looking for clues.
Also testifying today were blood and DNA experts. They say the DNA allegedly linking Gary Dunn to the crime scene is partial and inconclusive.
The last defense witness was Mark Frost, the lead detective in the original case against Jones. They questioned him on every detail of that investigation and tried to turn suspicion back to Jones.
Closing arguments are expected to begin in Thursday morning.
