NEVADA (KTHV) A doctor charged with kidnapping days before his anticipated release from a Nevada prison, is now facing murder charges.
Richard Conte, 61, is former emergency room doctor. He's long been suspected in a 2002 double murder in Conway and was finally charged on Friday.
Conte was about to be released from prison today for a kidnapping conviction in Salt Lake City. The victim was his ex- wife. Conte is now charged with execution-style killings of 25-year-old Timothy Robertson and 49-year-old Carter Elliott. Elliott was the former husband of the Conte's ex-wife.
Authorities in Conway are seeking his extradition from Nevada to Arkansas.
