JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - Three men arrested in connection with the shooting death of a Jonesboro real estate agent are being held without bond after their first court appearance.
Carl Kelly, Terrance Barker and Johnny Hubbard appeared in court for a probable cause hearing on Thursday. Police say Kelley's son-in-law, Marc Despain, was found shot to death last week in northeast Arkansas.
The men haven't been formally charged in Despain's death. But prosecutor Scott Ellington says he intends to charge them with capital murder in what appears to be a murder-for-hire.
A judge agreed to appoint an attorney for Hubbard. The public defender's office didn't return a call seeking comment about the case.
Court records didn't indicate whether Kelly and Barker had retained legal representation.
