LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Friends and Family members gathered this morning to search for a UALR student who is still missing.
"She only hangs out with a select few of friends, she likes to keep to herself a lot," says Jabari Douglas.
Douglas is a junior at UALR and a classmate of Patricia Guardado, who he affectionately calls Patty.
"I got a text from a friend saying that they hadn't heard from Patty all day. I had text Patty earlier on that day to see if she was going to go to class and I never got a reply and she never showed up for those two classes," says Douglas.
Police say Guardado left for class Wednesday morning from her home just 20 minutes from campus.
"They found her car in the parking lot and she's been missing ever since yesterday morning and no one knows where she's at," says Douglas.
"There is a good possibility there might be foul play involved," says Lt. Terry Hastings with Little Rock Police.
He says after going all day without hearing from Guardado, her family became worried and called police.
They say a good student and friendly with everyone, Guardado has no known enemies.
"We've talked to friends and family and others and we can't find that she was having any disagreement with anybody and that is something that is a little bit strange about it," says Hastings.
"Me, as her friend, I'm really worried about her too. I don't even want to think about anything negative," says Douglas.
He is hoping for the best but fearing the worst.
"I don't know maybe she needed some time to herself or something. Hopefully she shows up soon," says Douglas.
Guardado's family told police she was carrying a $500 check to pay for tuition and that she had no reason
Hastings says they are talking are on campus Friday talking to students but don't have anything new to report at this time. Her cell phone isn't working and they haven't seen her on security camera footage yet.
She is 5'2" and weight 120 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of Patricia Guardado, you are encouraged to call the Little Rock Detective Division at 501-371-4660.
