LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - THV sports director Wess Moore gives his reaction to the termination of Razorback head football coach Bobby Petrino in "One Moore Thought."

Wess says, "I was convinced Jeff Long wanted to keep Bobby Petrino. I figured Long would suspend Petrino for several games next season, cut his pay, and require him to take some self-help courses.
It's obvious now Long had no choice but to terminate coach Petrino. Long reminded us tonight the program is much bigger than one man. He also demonstrated the Razorback athletic department is in very good hands.

The former option quarterback led his team down the field for a symbolic touchdown. He pitched to the running back when he was supposed to, other times he handed off to the fullback for the dive play, and when needed, he kept the ball and took a pounding.

Jeff Long took a big step in repairing the damage and reputation that's occurred over the last week.

I already had a lot of respect for Jeff Long, but tonight he took my admiration to the next level. He handled a very difficult situation as well as you can expect.

Bobby Petrino was his first hire and now he has the task of finding a replacement. The good news is Petrino built Arkansas into a contender. A BCS bowl and top five ranking proves that. The Arkansas job is more attractive than it was four years ago.

And Hogs fans should trust Jeff Long will find the right person to lead the Razorbacks in the future. Tonight, we discovered who is the real leader of the program.

It's just One Moore Thought."
