LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- A Little Rock man is charged with murder after allegedly hitting a teen with his van, then severely beating him.

Prosecutors have charged Michael Sadler, Sr., 58, with first degree murder in connection with the death of 14-year-old Michael Stanley.

Police say Stanley stole Sadler's wallet at the Asher 1 Stop Thursday. Police say Sadler intentionally ran over Stanley.

Today's THV has obtained surveillance video of moments before Stanley was killed. The video shows the vacant lot where you can see Sadler's van follow Stanley on his bike.

This is not Sadler's first run-in with the law.

Police records show roughly two months earlier an off-duty police officer called to a Little Rock bus stop after Sadler allegedly cursed the driver and caused a disturbance.

That officer says Sadler smelled of alcohol, so he ordered him off the bus and tried to arrest him. He says Sadler resisted and at some point had to be wrestled to the ground when backup arrived. In the struggle, the off-duty officer says Sandlot spat on his neck. They treated Sadler for a scrape on his head.

He pleaded guilty to resisting arrest, use of force and public intoxication, but not guilty to second degree assault.

He has a court date for the disturbance and another for Thursday's incident.
