LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- The THV Diaper Drive benefiting the Arkansas Rice Depot is off to a record-breaking start.  On Tuesday, July 10th, we collected 21,152 diapers at the Cabot Walmart!

Now it's Maumelle's turn.  The collection bins are now out at the Walmart in Maumelle.  They'll be out from Friday, July 13th through Tuesday July 17th.  That's when THV's Liz Massey and her son will broadcast live from the Maumelle Walmart from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Can Maumelle beat Cabot's total?  Organizations are working hard to collect diapers including Midtowne Church in Benton and First Assembly of God in North Little Rock.  Plus, we hear Kimberly Clark has a surprise in the works.  But we need all the help we can get.  We need more churches, businesses and individuals to drop off diapers or start their own diaper drives.

Last year we collected more than 67,000 diapers! What a success but the need was so great, it only last a few months. Our goal this year is to collect 100,000 diapers.  Imagine losing your job or your home to a tornado, these diapers can help these families in need.

Bins go out in Conway on July 20, and we'll be live at the Walmart on 65 N. on July 24! We'll see ya there!
