PINE BLUFF, Ark. (KTHV) - North Little Rock police have said that they do not think the most recent convenience store robbery is related to two others that happened within the week.

On Tuesday night, the store clerk of Big Red Food Mart in Pine Bluff was shot to death during a robbery. That store is located at 2401 East 6th Avenue. This was the third convenience store robbery in Central Arkansas in less than a week.

Police believe the prior two incidents were related, but do not think the same subjects were involved in the Pine Bluff case.

The first of those two weekend robberies happened about 9:00 p.m. Saturday. That's when three suspects robbed an EZ Mart in North Little Rock. After leaving the store, they returned to shoot and kill the clerk, 29-year-old Akiya Egeston.

Then at 2:30 a.m. Sunday, the Citgo on Marshall Road in Jacksonville was robbed. The clerk was able to run away unharmed. The suspects also got away.

No one has been arrested in any of the crimes. Anyone with information about them is asked to contact police.
