GREENBRIER, Ark. (KTHV) - The 10-year anniversary of Kacie Woody's death sets its mark Monday, December 3, as the community plans to host a memorial at the Greenbrier High School football field.
Woody was 13 years old when she met her killer, David Fuller a 47-year-old man who drove from San Diego to meet her. Woody was victim of an internet predator; Fuller posed as a 17-year-old boy. After 20 hours of searching, police found both of their bodies. Police believe that Fuller shot woody before shooting himself.
The memorial will showcase paper lanterns being released in Woody's honor. It is also a fundraiser to help kids stay safe while on the internet.
