LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Little Rock police say one suspect is responsible for two early morning armed robberies of a hotel and a gas station.
Around 4:40 a.m. Wednesday police say a man walked in to the Comfort Inn 4301 E. Roosevelt Rd. and held a gun to the employee's head, demanding she open the cash drawer. The suspect took the contents of the drawer and left. A witness said the car he left in had round tail lights with the lights off.
Later that morning, around 5:30 a.m. police got a robbery call to a gas station at 7400 Cantrell Rd. Police say the suspect walked in and asked the employee for a cigarillo. When the employee walked behind the register, the suspect pulled a black handgun and demanded he open the register. The employee told police he opened the register and the suspect grabbed the contents and fled the store.
The employee told police that the suspect ran east from the store towards the apartments across the street and get into a waiting SUV.
Police do believe the same man robbed both businesses. No suspects have been released at this time.
