Mountain Home police are preparing for a long investigation into the slaying of a local doctor, who was killed June 18th.
Police Chief Carry Manuel still won't say whether police have a suspect in the stabbing death of Doctor David Millstein, who was found dead at his home.
Manuel says authorities searched a home and a car over the weekend at a location outside Baxter County. But Manuel would not identify the location or say what investigators learned from the searches.
Manuel says Mountain Home investigators have talked with Little Rock Police Department detectives about Lois Parks, Millstein's ex-wife.
Little Rock police spokesman Sergeant Terry Hastings says in 1993, Jerry Parks, Lois Parks' husband at the time, was found shot to death in his car on a Little Rock street. Hastings says Jerry Parks' death was ruled a homicide and the investigation into the death is active.
Manuel won't discuss a possible motive for the doctor's slaying. He noted Wednesday that he has consistently refuse to divulge whether there is a suspect in Millstein's killing.
